As summer winds down, some local families are trying to cram in as much as possible before kids return to school.
"At the beginning of the summer, you have all these big plans of all these things that you're going to do, and then time goes by and at the end of the summer you say, 'Wow. We didn't do all those things,’ and so you push it and try to do things that you wanted to do," parent Vicki Bolton said.

Some kids like, Domingo Castillo IV, push their own agenda. He mapped out a plan for both himself and his father this summer.
"Go swimming. Go to the movies. Go to Sea World. Go to Volente Beach," Castillo said.
They've checked most of those off of their list.
Kate Catterall said she's doing more cool activities with her girls like ice cream and trips to Deep Eddy, where they were Friday afternoon.
"We were swimming once or twice a week, and now it's four times a week easily," she said.
Parents and children are doing anything possible to stretch the last week of summer out as long as possible.
