APD seeks information after attempted kidnapping report
Austin Police Department officers responded to an attempted kidnapping call in the 4500 block of Norman Trail at 8:50 a.m. Monday.
APD said a female teenager told them that a group of four males approached her while she walked to school, and forced her into the bed of their pickup and attempted to sexually assault her.
Police said the victim was able to escape and the suspects drove away. The truck is described as an older model silver Ford pickup, with four doors, a small dent on the tailgate, a tinted back window and a blue tarp in the bed of the truck.
Police said the truck was playing loud music.
The males are described as being in their early 20s and all wearing a blue baseball cap with a white brim.

One is described as being 6 feet tall, with a muscular build and was last seen wearing baggy denim shorts, with plaid boxer shorts showing, red and white Jordan tennis shoes, a blue baseball cap with a white brim and a diamond earing in his right ear.
A second suspect is described as also having a muscular build and was last seen wearing a yellow-orange "DC" logo shirt, yellow Nike tennis shoes and also a blue baseball cap with a white brim.

Anybody who provides police with information may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 if the tip leads to an arrest or charges being filed.
