The weather kept
STAR Flight crews busy overnight Tuesday. All three STAR Flight helicopters were in use.
In all, STAR Flight made 13 rescues and responded to more than 20 dispatches.
"Some [of the rescues were] on the top of cars that you couldn't see because the car was covered in water. Some [of the rescues were] on top of houses. Some [of the rescues were] in houses that could not get to the top of the house, because the house was being flooded," senior pilot Chuck Spangler said.
One STAR Flight crew rescued a family of four through a second-story window.
Crews said their home was surrounded by at least a quarter-mile of water.
