The suspect in the deadly
Arizona shooting that left six dead and many others injured is being held without bail.
Jared Loughner, 22, appeared in a Phoenix courtroom Monday. He will be represented by the same lawyer who defended Timothy McVeigh, the man behind the Oklahoma City Bombing.
Loughner is accused of killing six people. U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords is among the 14 injured in Saturday's attack in Tucson.
The judge told him he could face life in prison or the death penalty for killing U.S. District Judge John Roll and Gifford's aide.
He also faces 20 years for the shooting of two other Gifford staffers.
Loughner's trial is expected to begin Jan. 24.
