A parade of cows is about to make Austin more colorful.

About 50 public art pieces will make their debut at an event Wednesday night. YNN’s Bonnie Gonzalez got a preview of some of giant figurines that make up “CowParade,” all decorated by local artists.

After the event, the cows will be around Austin starting Wednesday until mid October, to help raise money for a good cause.

"These cows will be auctioned off and going to our Superhero Kid's program at our blood and cancer center. What that program does is provide funding for families who are going through those really trying times when their child has been diagnosed with cancer,” Dell Children's Medical Center spokesperson Armando Zambrano said.

The art cows will all be on display Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Long Center.
