Williamson Co. man charged with impersonating police officer

A man is in custody after he was accused of impersonating a police officer in Austin and Williamson County.
Randy Lee Nolen, 43, is charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors, including unlawful possession of a firearm.
Nolen is vice president of Emergency Vehicle Lighting Solutions, a vehicle warning light company based in Pflugerville.
Williamson County Chief Deputy Mark Birchard said Nolen worked on police vehicles for the county. Nolen was arrested when police staged a fake emergency and called him in for assistance.
Birchard said Nolen had committed the impersonations for at least the past three months.
