Man charged with murder in Avery Ranch shooting

The man involved in a fatal shooting in Northwest Austin is now facing murder charges.
Jail records show Fred Yazdi was booked after police say he shot and killed a man outside his home in Northwest Austin.
The incident began around 3 a.m., when police say a 23-year-old man crashed his car into a retaining wall in the Avery Ranch neighborhood.
He then fled the scene of the wreck and went to a nearby home. According to police, that’s when Yazdi confronted the driver and shot him.
Officials say they don't think the men knew each other, and they are still trying to put all the pieces together.
Yazdi is being held at the Williamson County jail on $250,000 bail.
The victim's name not yet been released.
