Earlier:Police are investigating a suspicious death in Downtown Austin.

Officers found the body of a woman in her 20s on a park bench near the Ninth Street BMX trail. Investigators say the woman appeared to have blunt force trauma to her body. Police are not ruling her death a homicide yet, but they are looking for witnesses.

"It's a pretty populated area. They run people out of here all the time, so someone knows something. Please step forward. Do the right thing. Call the Austin Police Department and help us out," Austin Police Department Cpl. Anthony Hipolito said.
