More than 1000 cyclists took off Sunday morning, shooting all over Austin in a race of a different kind.
The tenth-annual Urban Assault Ride sent 1,500 riders zig-zagging across the city as they hit checkpoints, picking up beads, as they rode their custom path to the finish line.
Sponsored by the New Belgium Brewing Company, the event began here in Austin, but has since spread to 10 other cities across the country.
