Waco man faces animal cruelty charges for eating dog
Waco police arrested a man who attacked his dog and ate it alive.

Twenty-two-year-old Michael Terron Daniel faces a felony charge of animal cruelty. Police say about a week-and-a-half ago, they found Daniel sitting on his front porch in the 4600 block of Athens. Daniel was found with blood and fur on his face and clothing and their dead family dog in his lap.

Witnesses said Daniel assaulted several people at the home and said he was on a “bad trip” from K-2, a synthetic form of marijuana. They said he ran into the backyard where he got on his hands and knees and chased a neighbor while barking and growling like a dog.

Witnesses said Daniel then took the dog on his porch, where they observed him biting into the dog and ripping its flesh away.

When officers arrived, they found Daniel on the front porch incoherent and unresponsive. He was taken to Providence Hospital.

K-2 is legal in some states, but it’s illegal in Texas.
