If you’re still finalizing your plans for the Independence Day holiday, keep in mind the fireworks display is on at Auditorium Shores.

The Austin Symphony's July 4th Concert and Fireworks was canceled last year because of the extreme drought conditions, but this year, thousands of people are expected to attend for the show at Auditorium Shores.

The evening promises patriotic music, including Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture and a large fireworks display.

The music begins at 8:30, followed by fireworks about an hour later.

The event is free and open to the public.
