A former Austin Independent School District spokesperson is suing the district for discrimination.

According to The Austin American Statesman, Kathy Anthony filed a lawsuit Monday claiming employment discrimination. Anthony claims she lost her job because of age discrimination and because she doesn't speak Spanish.

Her position was eliminated last June during district-wide budget cuts. Anthony is asking to be reinstated as an AISD employee.
