Austin is living up to its reputation of being a ‘green’ city.

A report from the city's Chief Sustainability Officer says the city has been accomplishing many of its sustainability goals.

Some highlights from the report include:

• An agreement with Apple to have LEED certification for its one-million square-foot expansion.
• Ten-thousand homes added to Austin Energy's 'Green Building' program
• Solar panels added to 41 buildings including the Austin Animal Center, Northwest Recreation Center and George Washington Carver Museum
