One person is dead following a traffic accident in South Austin.
Police say a man was hit and killed as he tried to cross Ben White Boulevard early Tuesday morning. Investigators say the man was hit by car, then by a truck and died at the scene.
The accident closed east and west bound Ben White Boulevard near South Congress Avenue causing major traffic delays in the area. The roadway reopened around 9:30 a.m.
Police have not yet released the identity of the victim.
