A rabid bat was found at the Twin Lakes YMCA in Cedar Park.

Cedar Park officials sent out a warning after a rabid bat was found at the Twin Lakes YMCA. They ask anyone who may have come in contact with a bat to seek medical treatment immediately.

A camp counselor found the bat buried in the sand near the head of the Brushy Creek Trail last Friday. The bat tested positive for rabies.

The city says anyone who may have come into physical contact with the bat should call (254) 778-6744.

If you see a bat in a location where a person can reach it, or in a room where someone has been sleeping, contact Animal Control right away at (512) 260-4622.
