Austin police have arrested a man they say fatally struck a woman in the head in East Austin's Roy G. Guerrero Park.
The body of 47-year-old Margaret Robles was found in the park Friday. Police say it had been there about one month.
After a short investigation, police arrested Robles' reported boyfriend, 30-year-old Eduardo Mora-Hernandez. He told police they got into a fight June 13 when he hit her, knocking her out.
He says Robles was alive when he left the park, but he didn't call for help because he was afraid of being arrested.
Mora-Hernandez is charged with murder. He remains in jail on a $500,000 bond.
