The so-called ‘Game Stop Robber’ was arrested in New Mexico Friday.

Austin police say 27-year-old Christopher Perea is a suspect in multiple robberies of Game Stop and Radio Shack stores and Subway restaurants in Austin, Colorado and New Mexico. Perea is originally from Albuquerque.

Perea is a suspect in at least six robberies locally, between June 25 and July 2 of this year. Colorado police contacted Austinp police on July 11, to tell the department they were investigating at least eight robberies in their state between July 5 and July 11, at each of the three retailers.

Albuquerque officers were responding to an attempted suicide call when they recognized Perea from surveillance footage, according to a statement from Austin police.

After undergoing treatment at a local hospital, he was taken into custody.
