A 13-year-old boy was killed Sunday night.

According to police, Pete Valdez, 13, was on a bicycle traveling south on Decker Lane near Loyola Lane. A person driving a 2007 Chrysler 300 knocked Valdez into oncoming traffic around 10:30 p.m. Sunday and he was hit by a second car.

Authorities say the teen died at the scene.

Investigators are continuing to look into the accident.
