Police ID motorcyclist killed in Northeast Austin crash

Update -- Austin police have identified the driver as 33-year-old Jacob Stanford.
The driver of SUV, a 1998 Jeep Cherokee, was not injured in the collision. No charges have been filed in the case, according to officers.
Stanford’s death marks Austin’s 49th traffic fatality of the year. At this time in 2011, there were 34 traffic fatalities.

Earlier -- Police are investigating a fatal wreck on Dessau Road north of Braker Lane.
They say a motorcycle crashed into an SUV as the vehicle was turning left off Dessau around 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The 31-year-old motorcyclist died. Police haven't released any info on the SUV driver.
Dessau Road was closed for part of the afternoon while emergency crews cleared the scene.
