94 arrested during 'No Refusal' weekend
Austin police made dozens of arrests during the No Refusal Labor Day weekend.

Police arrested 94 people for driving while Intoxicated (DWI). Of those, police say 33 people took a breathalyzer test, 61 people had blood drawn.

Of the breath samples collected, 65 percent had a blood alcohol content of .15 or higher.

In 2011, the state began enforcing harsher punishments for those with blood alcohol concentrations of .15 or higher. Drivers and boaters with those levels can face up to a year of jail time and a $4,000 fine.

The state's legal blood alcohol content level for intoxication is .08.

According to APD, more than one-fourth of last year's traffic deaths were alcohol related.
