San Marcos police say 37-year-old Ricardo Rodriguez was killed attempting to cross the overpass. Investigators linked debris from the scene to a vehicle believed to have been driven by McKernan. She was released under a $10,000 bond.

In a separate accident early Sunday morning, police said Dahl hit three people at Hopkins Drive and MLK Drive. Dahl is charged with three felony counts of failure to stop and render aid and is also facing two counts of intoxication assault.

Two men were taken to University Medical Center at Brackenridge with serious injuries. A woman was also injured and was treated for leg injuries.
