Officials say the CEO of National Scooter Company Inc. has taken customer and city money and disappeared for good.
Two years ago, the City of Pflugerville approved a $235,000 incentive agreement to lure CEO Greg James’s company to the community north of Austin.
For about a year, James collected $165,000 from the city to create jobs and build a plant. He then decided to temporarily shut down the plant due to a “slow season.”
Nine months later, the company is still shut down and James is nowhere in sight. Learn more about the scandal in this edition of “Business Now.”
