A holiday favorite is returning to Zilker Park.
The RunTex Carrozza Foundation and Forefront Austin are teaming up to run this year's Trail of Lights.
The city had canceled the event for the last two years due to budget concerns, but now, according to AustinTrailofLights.org, the holiday tradition will be back, from Dec. 16 to 23.
The 2012 Trail of Lights will spotlight local nonprofits. The public will also have an easy way to support those groups through a Trail of Lights Fund.
