The Travis County Sheriff's Office wants to give back to the community.
Responders including the K-9 unit, the SWAT Team, Starflight and more will be on hand for demonstrations and more at a free extravaganza Saturday.
Deputy Derrick Taylor with the Travis County Sheriff's Office said it's a great opportunity for you to meet the people who serve our community.
"A lot of times, especially children see law enforcement in a totally different light, kicking in doors, taking people to jail, arresting, unfortunately, sometimes their family members. If they can come out and talk to us, meet us, shake our hands, take pictures with us, sit on our equipment, sit on our vehicles, they may walk away with a different light of how they feel about law enforcement," Taylor said.
The Sheriff's Office Community Extravaganza will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Wells Branch MUD Recreation Center at 3000 Shoreline Drive.
There will be food, entertainment and prizes.
