A young woman's fundraising request has been answered.

Sophia Zaia told YNN she and her sister needed a total of $60,000 to build a second facility at Casa Hogar Hijos de la Luna. Casa Hogar is a temporary home for children in Oaxaca, Mexico.

The home serves children whose parents are unable to raise them in a safe environment. Currently, there are 56 children sharing a three-bedroom house.

After a local neurologist saw the story, she donated $30,000 to help fund the cause.

Zaia said when she found out, she and her older sister Ariana jumped around the house with excitement.

"When you've been raising money bit by bit, you know people usually can only give so much, $10 or $20 and it takes time. Then all of a sudden this sort of just fell from the sky. We had more than doubled our amount," Zaia said.

Zaia said the money will go toward purchasing the land and paying for construction.
The plan is to build a house big enough for 40 children with an industrial sized kitchen.
