Downtown post office relocating to Congress
The downtown Austin post office located at Sixth and Guadalupe now has a new location slated for next year.

Officials with United States Postal Service say they plan to relocate the office to 9th and Congress before February.

The new 7,000 square foot facility will provide retail services and PO boxes.

USPS recently sold the current downtown station, but will be allowed to continue operations until the new station is finished.

However, customers that normally pick up their packages from the Guadalupe location will have to start going to the South Congress station Monday.
