Heavy rains grace Central Texas
Central Texas experienced some much needed rainfall Saturday. The area is under a flash flood watch throughout the evening.

Austin-Mabry already broke a record in the morning hours with 1.29 inches of measured rainfall, beating the previous record of 1.20 inches set in 1985.

Most of the rainfall throughout Saturday will be light to moderate, with brief sprouts of heavy downpours. The temperatures will not break out of the 70s.

As the evening hours approach, expect a 40 percent chance of rain with a few isolated thunderstorms. The chance for rain drops to 20 percent from 12 a.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday.
