The local dance group brings the Austin swing and lindy hop dance alive on area dance floors.
The Syndicate offers a free introductory swing lesson each Thursday to teach new dancers to cut a rug.
One organizer says you shouldn't be afraid to get out and strut your stuff.
"If you've never danced before, don't ever hesitate to come out and dance with us,” Lindsay Chronister, Austin Swing Syndicate president, said. “By the end of class, before you go out on the dance floor, you'll have 50 new friends that you can dance with."
