Michael Rush, 28
Austin police say three people are charged in connection to a string of hotel burglaries that occurred during the South by Southwest Conference this year.
Michael Allen Rush, 28, accepted a nine-year prison sentence in Travis County Tuesday after he pleaded guilty to five counts of a burglary of habitation, a second-degree felony, and one count of possession of stolen property, a third-degree felony.
Officers say on March 13, a burglary was reported at an area hotel. Detectives were able to track the stolen property to one apartment, where they also discovered additional stolen items from other local hotels.
Nathan Winston, 37
Nathan Winston, 37, and Ashley Cruickshank, 28, have also been charged in relation to the burglaries.
Cruickshank faces multiple burglary charges in Williamson County and Sevier County in Tennessee.
