Texas A&M University Police have arrested a man in connection to a bomb threat made to the campus Oct. 19.
Officers say Dereon Tayronne Kelly of Bryan emailed the threat to the university’s Computing Information Services Department. Authorities, including the FBI, were able to connect Kelly to the email though his cell phone.
He has been charged with making a terroristic threat, a third degree felony. He is currently in Brazos County Jail on a $150,000 bond and faces up to 10 years in prison.
Brittany Nicole Henderson was arrested last week in connection to a bomb threat one day earlier at Texas State. Brazos County authorities say she is a person of interest in the A&M case.
Bryan station KBTX is reporting Henderson and Kelly were boyfriend and girlfriend.
