APD arrests possible serial groper

Update --Austin police have arrested a man in connection to several groping cases at area businesses.

Officers say 21-year-old Siji Moreno was arrested for assault with injury in connection to an assault that occurred at a Target at 10107 Research Blvd. Nov. 1.

Moreno is also a person of interest in another incident at a Target in West Austin. In that instance, he went into the retail chain located on FM 2222, approached a victim, lifted her skirt and touched her inappropriately before fleeing in a vehicle, according to police.

Moreno is also a person in two additional assaults by contact of a sexual nature cases at H-E-B on 2508 East Riverside on Oct. 20.

He is also a person of interest in a similar case in the 1000 block of Guadalupe and two cases out of Bee Caves.

Additionally, he is a suspect in a police case at Iron Cactus on Trinity Street that occurred Sept. 11, but police did not give details on that occurrence.

Moreno was previously on probation for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and manslaughter, but it was revoked when the most recent charge was filed. He is in the Travis County Jail with no bond.

Earlier -- Austin police are looking for a man they say assaulted a woman at a West Austin Target.

Officers say a male entered the Target at 11220 FM 2222 on Oct. 18. He approached the victim, lifted her skirt, touched her inappropriately and fled the scene in a dark-colored car.

The suspect is described to have the following characteristics, per APD:

• Hispanic male
• Around five-feet, seven-inches
• Thin build
• Clean shaven
• Between 22 and 27 years of age
• Short, dark hair
