DPS offering $5K reward for serial sex offender

A man with Austin ties has been added to Texas’ Top Ten Most Wanted Sex Offender list.
Officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety say 67-year-old Lloyd Lester Gibson III has several child indecency charges, as well as failure to register as a sex offender and burglary of a habitation. He has been convicted in Travis, Smith and Harris counties. His most common offense is exposing himself to teenage girls.
Gibson has worked as a medical technical lab researcher and computer programmer. He is five-feet, eight-inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has scars on his chest, shoulders and right elbow.
Most recently, Gibson has had a Fort Worth address, but was born in Austin.
Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to Gibson’s arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers hot line at 1-800-252-TIPS or submit a tip via Facebook.
