Man charged in girlfriend's death

Update-- Police have arrested the boyfriend, 23-year-old Christopher Roberts, and charged him with murder in the death of his girlfriend.

According to police, Roberts called 911 Thursday evening concerned that his girlfriend, 41-year-old Kirstin Anderson, had died.

When officers responded, they found Anderson’s body and an autopsy determined her death was the result of homicide.

Roberts is being held in the Travis County Jail on a $250,000 bond.

Earlier-- Austin police are investigating what they have deemed a suspicious death Thursday.

According to police, officers were called to a home off of Oltorf Street, just north of St. Edward’s University, just before 5:30 p.m. by a man who thought his girlfriend was dead.

When police arrived, they found the body of a dead woman and APD’s Homicide Unit was called to the scene.

Investigators have deemed the death “suspicious,” but police did not reveal any specifics.

No arrests have been made and no charges have been filed.
