We’re still a couple days away from the U.S. Grand Prix, but there was no shortage of action on Friday.
Drivers took their Formula 1 cars to the track for the first time to see how it felt. More than 65,000 people made it to the track to hear the first sounds of the F1 engines in Central Texas.
It also feels like the race is getting closer. Downtown was abuzz with activity as Austin Fan Fest, a three-day music festival dedicated to the Formula 1 race, kicked off with visitors from around the world taking in everything that Austin has to offer. Hear some of their opinions in the show.
Also in the video above, YNN’s Russell Wilde sat down with the designer of Circuit of the Americas to hear about the inspiration behind the track and what to expect of Sunday’s race.
We have two more editions of “Your Sports Now: Grand Prix” coming your way Saturday and Sunday at 10 p.m. Be sure to check them out.
