Formula One legend Michael Schumacher didn’t get first place in this weekend’s U.S. Grand Prix, but he enjoyed Texas so much he bought a ranch in the Lone Star State.

The purchase was mentioned by commentators during Sunday's race. The German-born Mercedes driver took some time from practice and qualifying rounds to purchase the 500-acre ranch, which is about one hour north of Dallas, according to the Daily Mail.

The property will house horses for now. Schumacher and his wife will continue to live in Switzerland.
