APD looking for man who attacked woman on E. 4th St.
Austin police are looking for the public’s help in identifying a man who attacked a woman in the early morning hours Monday.
Officers say the woman was walking near East Fourth Street and Interstate-35 when a man exited a vehicle, assaulted her and stole her belongings.
The suspect is described to have the following characteristics, according to APD:
• Dark complexioned black Male
• Estimated to be in his mid-20s
• 5’10” to 6’ ft. tall
• Medium (thick or muscular) build (strong)
• Corn-rowed hairstyle with sparse/short braids
• Yellowish, jaundiced-looking brown eyes
He is also described to drive an 1980s or 1990s “boxy” compact four-door. It is grey or silver with rust spots visible on the body. The vehicle could be a Honda, Nissan or Toyota-style Sedan, according to officers.
