By: YNN Staff

Austin Police say 27-year-old Yoandry Arias died early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle accident in North Austin.

Officers say at 2:15 a.m., Arias was traveling eastbound in the 6400 block of East Parmer Lane. For “unknown reasons” his Chevy Impala left the roadway, struck the south curb line and rolled about 30 feet.

Arias was not wearing his seat belt and was pronounced dead on the scene.

His death marks Austin’s 69th traffic fatality this year. Last year at this time, there were 48 traffic fatalities.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call APD’s Vehicular Homicide Unit
