UT head football coach Mack Brown announced Case McCoy would start at quarterback against Kansas State. David Ash is listed as questionable with a rib injury.
McCoy replaced Ash in the fourth quarter against TCU, leading the Longhorns to their only touchdown drive of the game. The junior also came in for Ash in the fourth quarter against Kansas, in which he led Texas to a come from behind victory.
McCoy started for UT in five games last season, going 3-2.
