Anderson court of inquiry delayed
A judge has delayed a court of inquiry that will decide whether former Williamson County District Attorney Ken Anderson withheld evidence in a 1987 murder trial that sent an innocent man to prison for 24 years.
The proceedings have been moved from December to February. Anderson, now a district judge, is accused of hiding evidence from Michael Morton's defense team.
Morton was convicted of murdering his wife, but newly-tested DNA evidence secured his innocence and released him from prison in October of last year.
Anderson has denied doing anything wrong in the case.
