Some residents at a North Austin apartment complex are upset after finding they'll be without gas for possibly weeks.

The gas was turned off Saturday at the Austin Commons Apartments on Rutland Drive after Texas Gas Service found a leak.

Now it's up to the complex to fix the leak before Texas Gas can get their services up and running again.

Officials with the complex say they're making repairs, but they're not sure how long it'll take.

"They haven't given us notice and they said that it's going to be off for two or three weeks,” resident Mauricio Batista said. “We have kids, and we're going through some struggles and they don't want give us back any money from the rent or anything,"

YNN called the complex and received a recorded message that the apartments are experiencing a gas outage, and repairs could take two to three weeks.
