According to the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, 67-year-old Lloyd Lester Gibson III was taken into custody without incident at the corner of South Congress and Oltorf after several days of surveillance.

Gibson has several child indecency charges, as well as failure to register as a sex offender and burglary of a habitation. He has been convicted in Travis, Smith and Harris counties. His most common offense is exposing himself to teenage girls. He was placed on the top 10 sex offender list last month.

Officers in the Dallas area alerted the task force that Gibson could be in the Austin area. He will soon be extradited to Tarrant County.
