East Austin's longest running art fair is still going strong.
This weekend marks Cherrywood Art Fair's 11th year. The event will feature artists, food, music and more.
Vendors will be selling everything from hand sewn wallets to woodwork. There will also be a silent auction with proceeds going to Little Artist/Big Artist—a mentoring program for students.
"It’s a one-on-one program with a professional artist, and the students get to go in and work with an artist to create an original piece of artwork from beginning to end,” Deanna Deolloz, artist coordinator, said. “They really get that one-on-one attention that's really important in arts education and also learning a wonderful craft that they may not get in schools."
The Cherrywood Art Fair is this Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Maplewood Elementary.
