Council votes to explore parking options for businesses
A longtime parking problem for a one-of-a-kind South Austin business now has the city exploring partnerships.
Casa de Luz only has a couple spaces for its customers, and has looked at options for several years.
Thursday, the City Council asked staff to come up with a plan to lease out park land to businesses.
In exchange, those companies would be responsible for maintaining and improving the land they use for parking lots.
