Two construction workers are hospitalized after falling more than 20 feet from a scaffold Monday afternoon.

The two were installing an awning on a building off of Bee Cave Road. Officials say the men were on one of two ladders on top of the scaffold.

For some reason, both men fell off the ladder, causing the scaffold to collapse.

"At one point, the ladders fell,” Sgt. Terrance Peterman with the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said. “They fell and it caused both gentlemen to fall to the ground. The fall was approximately 20, 25 feet."

STAR Flight transported the men to the hospital with what authorities are calling serious injuries.
