Police are searching for a man they say stabbed another man at a housing complex in North Austin near North Lamar and Highway 183.

The incident happened a little after 11 a.m. Tuesday. Officials say the victim is in the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses say the suspect is a man in his mid 20s with an afro. He was last seen wearing a red sweater and gray pants.

"If anybody has the capability of stabbing another person, I would deem this as dangerous,” Veneza Bremner with APD said. “So if you know who this person is, please do not contact him on your own. If you see this person, or know this person, please contact 911."

APD says you can also call Austin Crime Stoppers at (512) 472-TIPS. The suspect faces potential aggravated assault charges.
