Hays High School in Buda will no longer fly the confederate flag that accompanies its Rebel mascot.

The school board voted Monday to ban the flag. The ban also covers imagery that is considered racially hostile, offensive or intolerant.

Months ago, two students were accused of writing racial slurs and urinating on the door of a black teacher's classroom.
