One of the many staples of the Christmas season in America is the Salvation Army volunteer, ringing hand bells and accepting donations into the group's iconic red kettles.
The organization is dedicated to easing the pains of our nation’s homeless and poor populations.
Over the last year, the Salvation Army fed more than 300,000 meals and took nearly 800 homeless people off the street and into permanent homes.
This holiday season, they are asking for your help. The group is always looking for toy donations for children. Diapers are also a much-needed item for struggling families.
