While downtown Austin gets lots of attention, many people don’t realize the impact of the “Tech Triangle” north of town.

Austin Business Journal Editor Colin Pope said he’s dubbed the north quadrant of Austin between Travis and Williamson counties as the “Tech Triangle” because the vast amount of mega companies in the area.
Dell Inc. employs about 12,000, Apple brings in 7,000 jobs and Hewlett-Packard has also had a longstanding location on MoPac near Wells Branch.
