Holiday shoppers scour malls for last minute gifts

Last minute shoppers are under a bit of stress as Christmas approaches.

"It's going to be a sentimental thing, got to be more of a, 'Here, I thought about you,' not just, 'Oh here you go, I saw this in the mirror and it said your name,'" Alejandro Frausto said.

Frausto anticipates a long day in a mall with 200 stores. He said he'll scour the shelves to find the perfect gift for his fiance.

"At the end of the day, it's either going to be something to wear or something to accessorize with," he said.

With Christmas on a Tuesday, shoppers have some extra time to get their shopping done. Lakeline Mall's Director of Marketing Monica Esparza expects a full parking lot this weekend.

"If you're trying to avoid any sort of crowds, early morning is definitely the best time to shop," she said.

Special holiday hours mean shoppers have plenty of time to shop. Lakeline Mall is open Sunday 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. and Monday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
