Fredericksburg is a Central Texas town which is proud of its German heritage year-round, but at Christmas time that culture is on full display.

In an effort to celebrate their German ancestors, the town constructed a Christmas pyramid.

The city’s pyramid was carved and painted by hand and sits nearly 30 feet tall. A crane was needed to construct it.

In addition to its Christmas pyramid, Fredericksburg also has a traditional tree with German-style ornaments. Both remain lit into the New Year.
